"Infectious diseases in an era of global change: innovative multidisciplinary pan-African efforts towards building research capacity in Africa."
The West African Network of African Centers of Excellence on Infectious Diseases (WANIDA) is organizing its 1st WANIDA Symposium from March 8 to 10, 2023 in Accra, Ghana.
The event will be hosted by the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens(WACCBIP) at the University of Ghana, which is the coordinating center of the WANIDA network.
ON THE PROGRAM :
- March 8, 2023: Health challenges in Africa
- March 9, 2023: Pan-African responses to health crises
- March 10, 2023: Networks of excellence in African research: meeting Africa's health challenges
5 main themes :
- Monitoring and preparing for new pandemics.
- Pathogenic basis of diseases and host responses.
- Innovative disease prevention strategies and vaccinology.
- Neglected tropical diseases.
- Malaria control and elimination strategies.
